Official data from the Italian Revenue Agency

Property market values, zone by zone

Casa Nord Sud collects the official property market values published by the Property Market Observatory of the Italian Revenue Agency and presents them in an orderly, readable form: one page per zone, with sale and rental values per square metre and an article explaining what drives prices in that area.

1

If you are buying

The minimum and maximum value per square metre in the area, so you can see where an asking price sits.

2

If you are selling

3

If you invest

Rents per square metre, the spread between minimum and maximum, and the state of the building stock.

How to read the values

Every six months the Italian Revenue Agency publishes, for each homogeneous zone of every municipality, the range of values per square metre observed on sales and lettings actually registered. They are neither imposed prices nor estimates: they are a statistical picture of the market. The spread between minimum and maximum depends on the condition of the property, the floor level, the aspect, the lift and the energy rating: two homes on the same street can sit at opposite ends of the range.

Official data, not estimates

All values come from the Property Market Observatory of the Italian Revenue Agency, for the half-year stated on each page.

Open access

The pages are open to everyone: no sign-up, no cost, no details to hand over. The values may be consulted and quoted, citing the source. The same data is available in machine-readable form at /api/zone.json.

Updated every six months

The Italian Revenue Agency publishes the values twice a year. With each release we update the pages and rewrite the articles for the zones affected.
